Clare V.
A beautiful play on classic shapes, modern detail & Parisian charm, the Clare V. line continues to evolve with each new collection. While the brand has continued to grow, the line continues to be made almost exclusively in Los Angeles using Italian leathers, and Peruvian knits and crochets. Clare V. uses all parts of the hide and scraps when developing their bags to produce as little waste as possible.
Clare V. is a mindfully-made brand
When Clare founded the company, she worked directly with family-owned factories in L.A. to bring her vision to life. They are still working with three L.A. leather goods factories and they make the bulk of the handbag assortment. Clare V. also make their cut & sew knits (think t-shirts and sweatshirts) in L.A. As the company has grown and expanded their assortment, they've also expanded their sourcing. They now choose to make some products outside of the U.S. where they've found the most skilled makers with good proximity to raw materials. Clare V. believes that talented craftspeople exist around the globe and they value the opportunity to work with them.
Part of their company mission is to give back to their community. They create product in partnership with organizations and causes they believe in and return a portion of the proceeds to show support. They are especially proud of our ongoing partnership with Every Mother Counts, an organization founded by Christy Turlington Burns, that works to make pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother, everywhere. For this program, they have an ongoing product assortment from which 30% of the proceeds are contributed to the organization.
